Baldwin Piano joins London抯 Street Piano campaign at The Mayor of London抯 City Hall
Sing London has installed 30 pianos in and around London抯 streets, squares, markets and train stations for all to play. The pianos which include a Baldwin upright now based at The Mayor of London抯 City Hall office on the South Bank (see photo) have been marked with the logo Play me, I抦 Yours, are available for people to take a moment out of their day to enjoy playing anything from Chopsticks to Beethoven.
If members of the public wish to give a concerto in Leicester Square or hold a recital by the Bank of England then now is the opportunity. In addition to impromptu play, the pianos can be used to showcase performances. Just choose a street piano near you and use the Street Pianos website to promote your event. The website also lists a program of Round the Piano events that everyone can join. A songbook is attached to each piano.
